Silly & Fun
Someone out a pretty pink bra on the "Wear your Helmet" sign on the corner by our house. It has caused such excitement here. Ryann drags us all to the porch to see the bra. It arrived a day a go, and she is surprised every time she sees it still there. I can tell you that the bra did not come from our house full of girls. I am a boring lady and only wear white! Rylie is more of a sports bra type of girl. Dylann, Kendall and Ryann are still too young. Christopher, to my knowledge, prefers black, so it is not his :) Kendall stepped on a needle the other morning. It was stuck in her bone. She kept telling me she could fell her bone "BEEPING" and she knew she was going to die. I had to hold her down and Aunt Laura pulled out the plyers to get the needle out of her foot. Tragic! The picture is of the needle; the battery is for size comparison. It was burried half way in her foot. OUCH! Then we have Ryann! Yes, she dresses herself. She takes great care in picking just the right outfit for the day. And because she puts so much effort into the picking, she feels the need to wear said outfit for at least 3 days in a row. The best part is the pair of leopard tights she simply adores. They were a Christmas gift from Great Grandma Salt.
Finally, we have Dylann. This is how she spends most of her time around me:
Impromptu Photo Shoot
Here are a few pictures of our - hurry up and get in the car, drive around town until we find a spot and take a picture - photo shoot! We will attempt it again soon, when a few more blades of grass turn green up here in the North!
Our friends have this cute little "village" of old log buildings in their backyard. We had to sweep a little horse poop out of the way, and compete with a very "touchy-feely" horse for my girl's attention.

Do you wanna piece of "Smee"?
My mind wonders every now and then. Truthfully, it is rare that my mind is not wondering off somewhere in the distance. I have always hoped that it is a sign of brilliance or super creativity. Brilliance and creativity that is currently dormant, but will soon burst out and clean my house spotless, organize my crap or complete a project - any project!
I am also one of those people who will burst out in song for no apparent reason. I am one of those people you see on the freeway singing at the top of their lungs to the radio. Sometimes I catch myself, blush a little, then try to make it look like I was on my cell phone or talking to (yelling at) my kids, if they are in the car. Often times, sitting at my desk, at work, I will start singing. I will look across the hall into the other office, watching & waiting for the moment the ladies can hear me. Then I laugh and start all over!
Today, my mind is wondering to a little appreciated character from Peter Pan - Mr. Smee. He is truly my favorite part of Peter Pan. He is so cute and round. So eager to please his hot tempered 'Captain'. Maybe it is the way his little belly pokes out of his striped shirt? Maybe it is how he wants so much to be appreciated by 'Captain Hook'? Maybe it is because he is struggling to be a 'Nice Guy' who became the self appointed angel on the shoulder of evil? For whatever reason - I like him.

May I have your Attention - Again!
I am the meanest daughter in the world. I have given my dad a heart attack and he yelled at me! Our conversation went like this:
D - "Do you have something you want to tell me?"
S - "No, should I?"
D - "What is on your blog?"
S - "I don't know, what?"
D - "You think you are moving and you did not tell me?"
S - "Sorry, we were not sure about it yet."
D - "Well, I hope Christopher likes to hunt. Because I will be up for the white tail and the pheasants."
S - "OK."
D - "Are you really moving?"
S - "Dad, what day is it?"
D - "Wednesday."
S - "Dad, what is the date?"
D - "You little ****!"
I thought all morning of a good April Fool's Day Joke. I thought about the pregnancy scare, but most everyone already knows I cannot have any more!
A few weeks ago I started joking with my kids that we were going to move away. I looked up job openings in Christopher's company and found one in Minot, North Dakota. So I sat on the computer and looked for a house. I would call the girls over to have them give their approval.
Rylie would cry and cry, then say, "I'll move there if I can have that room!", "But I'm NOT moving!"
So, sad to say, we are NOT moving to Minot, North Dakota. We are staying out in our little hillbilly heaven!
Attention all:
We have picked out a house:
Another older home, luckily it does not need as much work as our others have. Which is good because my dad would have to drive 15 hours to help us remodel!
The girls are not too excited! Rylie just cries and cries. Dylann is sad because she loves her friends here, but she is so excited to meet new people. She has always loved the idea of having a pen pal, she always thought they would be from a foreign country, not Randolph. Kendall is happy to go anywhere. She is excited to get a new room, hopefully one she will not have to share with Ryann. Ryann is just along for the ride.
We have not let anyone in on our secret move until now. Sorry we have kept everyone in the dark. It has been so hard to keep the secret from my mom and sister. The girls were sworn to secrecy and have done a bang up job keeping it!
Christopher will head out mid-May to set up camp. I will stay behind and finish the school year with the girls. We cannot decide if we should sell our house in Randolph or keep it for a vacation house. We might need to winter in Randolph!
We will keep you all posted on our goings on
