Crazy People

Ryann's self portraits.

The girls decided to dress up as balloon people. What ever those are. But aren't they cute?

And yes, Ryann got into the makeup again. It has now been tossed in the trash. I am sure she will find hidden stashes somewhere. She has "MESSY" radar. She is never clean.

Laura broke her foot the other day. She fell down the stairs while holding Ryann. The foot lost, but Ryann was saved from harm. Thanks Laura, for protecting the person that means the most! j/k!
This pictures is day 4 of the swelling and bruising. YUCK!

Our New Pet?

4-H Lamb season is almost here. So we headed to the Stuart's for our new pet. Dylann had to wear her lamb ears to help inspire her selection. Everyone knows that in order to pick the best lamb, you have to look the part...

First we had to feed the sheep some hay in order to gain their trust.
Finally...we have our lamb. Her name so far is #12.

Kendall picked the runt for her Cloverbud Project.

Just a highlight from our adventure. Meet "Crazy Sheep". It gave us the evil eye the entire time. It's like it could read our minds!

"Am I pretty?"

Ryann loves to play "Make-up"! Thanks to our good friend Ronda and her little care package, Ryann was able to be "pretty" last night. After her makeover, dad tossed her in the tub for a scrubbing.

When will it be SPRING!!!!!

The question of the day at our house.

This morning we woke up to snow! After a week of great weather, for Randolph, the snow has once again crushed my girls' dreams of ever wearing shorts and no coat. At least all of the dog goodies in our yard are covered over again.

Every day my girls ask when Spring will be here. "If March 20th is really the first day of Spring, why does it have to be so cold?" Kendall's belief that spring is for "wearing shorts and a tank top, riding bikes, and maybe going to church". So when will it be here?

Finally - Pictures!

Crazy Kodiak the Easter Bunny. Kodiak is such a good sport.

All 160 pounds of him. He loves to play "dress-up" with Ryann.

Doesn't Ryann have the cutest bunny face!

Kendall's eye after meeting the rocking chair. Thanks Grandpa!

Finally Grandpa Russell sent us an Easter Egg Hunt picture. L to R: Liz holding Ryann; Lacey, Trenton, Dylann, Rylie, Haydon, Kendall; Payton, Dayson, Lilly and Marco.

Easter fun!

We had a little get together this past Sunday at Grandpa & Grandma Russell's house for a Pre-Easter Easter Egg Hunt. There was snow- of course! We left the snow at home for the sunny weather of Salt Lake. As soon as all of the eggs were found, the snow flakes stopped and the sun shine was beautiful!

Teresa and Dave were here from Germany with little Mason wearing his 'Strumpfhosen', or little man tights. He is so cute. Christopher and I will get to see him in his natural habitat in 2 weeks. (Maybe Christopher will modle a pair of man-tights!)

The rest of the party crew were: Great Grandma Salt, Grandpa & Grandma Russell, Aunt Janice and Lacey (up from Arizona), April, Marcos and Lilly, Jeff, Liz and the boys (Trenton, Dayson, Haydon, Keaton and Boston), Laura and Payter-Tater, of course, and us! Oh, and we cannot forget Grandpa's special child Tina Wigglebottoms. She enjoyed all of the jellybeans the kids dropped onto the floor.

We all survived the festivities, only Kendall made out with any visable injury after Grandpa helped her eye meet the rocking chair. Grandpa is helpful that way.
Grandpa was also out photographer for the party, as soon as he emails me photos, I will share.

Happy Birthday to Dylann!

Dylann had her 9th birthday this past Saturday. I cannot believe she is 9! Grandma Stapel sent her a cute card in the mail. Dylann loves to get mail. When she was little we would give her all the junk mail and pretend it was full of wonderful letters just for her. Grandpa and Grandma Russell took her to see Disney's Princess Dreams on Ice. We kept the secret from her until the moment she arrived at the Arena. Dylann is not good with secrets, keeping them or being kept from them. Every morning to get her out of bed for school I had to give her a clue.
When Grandma Russell asked her where she wanted to go for a special birthday dinner before the show, she though long and hard and replied: "Taco Bell". Needless to say, Grandma was not excited. Dylann downed 3 tacos and was ready for her surprise. She had the best night ever.
The next morning she went shopping with her dad and I. She is so much fun. She wore her Princess Crown that Grandma had given her. She was so excited for everything we did. Barnes and Noble was her favorite stop. She finally got her much wanted book, 'Firewing'. After that, her Ipenguin to go with her MP3 player.

It is so fun to watch Dylann. She loves so BIG! She is very thoughtful and helpful, unless it is babysitting. That comes with a fee.

Why do we have eyebrows??

Kendall, in all of her 6 year old wisdom, asked me "Why do we have to have eyebrows?" "Your face has to be all hairy and they just keep growing." "Dad's eyebrows are hairy. And some girl who helped Rylie in cheerleading has big eyebrows that are brown."
Oh to be 6 and worry about ever growing eyebrows.

Another day in the life...

I suppose I will use this BLOG to record the goings on of my crazy life. Like a journal of sorts that everyone can see.

Rylie had her state report yesterday. She chose Virginia. My thinking was that we have family from there and it would be easier due to that fact. I did call one uncle (Thanks Craig) and emailed one aunt (Thanks Juanita). The report was a success. 100%. Am I a good mom or what! It is very hard to believe that I have a 10 year old (11 in June).
